Here at Supersteil we really wanted a complete overview off al the projects we are working on. Thats why we decided to start working with the management tool Basecamp from 37Signals last year. It really effected our workflow in a positive way! But something was still missing... We wanted a realtime overview in the studio so everybody was instantly up to date without checking Basecamp constantly.
A few weeks ago I read a post from my favorite Mac developers; Panic, who solved the problem with the thing we do best. A webpage with all the right information... a status board!
In the "spare" hours Simon build a complete system which reads all the important information from Basecamp. Project names, milestones, timelines, deadlines and the people working on the project. Besides that, we can also see when the next tram or subway leaves, when the next birthday is and the latest Google Analytics from a random project. All that in a nice airport looking interface and you have the Supersteil Status board!
